Friday- August 31st, 2012

The morning before my ultrasound was filled with excitement and worry. I just wanted to be able to get a picture of our baby! I just wanted to SEE my baby! There was always a thought in my mind that we wouldn't be able to get an image of the baby and then it would be more waiting!

When we got to the office we stood as patiently in line as we could, got checked in, and waited in the fitting room. The wait was long and every time a nurse came out I expected to hear my name called, but nope! Finally we heard "Christina" and my waiting was done! Derek still had to stay in the waiting room so the nurse could take come pictures. The nurse and I went into the room and first she tried the tummy ultrasound and it almost picked up an image of the baby, but the baby was still a touch too small. So to the bathroom and then another ultrasound, the pictures where coming in clear and fantastic!!! I could have gazed forever at my little squibbly baby! The nurse went out to get Derek, they both came back in and the ultrasound was started up again. Oh the joy on both of our faces when our wiggly baby appeared on the screen! It was incredible! A true gift from God!! Words could not do justice to the feels Derek and I felt as we watched our little baby move around for the first time! The nurse printed out some pictures for us and then it was time to get cleaned up and go.

As soon as we left the doctors office I snapped a picture with my phone of the ultrasound and sent it to Derek's mom. Then we went home and showed my parents and then I started sending the picture to a ton of people, family and close friends. I just wanted everyone to know how cute our baby is all posing for the picture! The baby's one arm was bent and chilling up by the head and the other was waving! Not even born yet and still my baby's the cutest lil thing!
