I was very anxious for this day! My second OB appointment! I knew that at this appointment I would be scheduled for another ultrasound and I had my fingers crossed that we would be able to get an image of the baby!
I did a count down to this appointment, Derek didn't find it very amusing. He is always calm, cool, and collective. I get the anxious buzz very easily and it bubbles out of me "8 more days until the OB" etc. So when the day finally arrived I was ready to bolt out the door!
At the doctors we where the only people in the waiting room, but it felt like we where waiting forever. Finally, the nurse came in and we headed back. I was weighed and I gained 5 lbs! Happy, growing babies will do that to you! Then back into the room for a blood pressure test and questions about any new symptoms. The nurse left and I fidgeted until the doctor came in. My OB, Mrs. Andrews, asked about how I was feeling and if I was eating regularly, drinking plenty of water. It was a brief, pleasant chat and then she sent me to the front desk to schedule an ultrasound! Getting the ultrasound scheduled took longer than normal because the computers where acting up at my OB so the front desk lady had to call in the appointment. Thankfully, they where able to get me an appointment the following day. I was worried that we wouldn't be able to get in until Monday. Gotta be thankful for life's little blessings!
