Wow Nolan! Can you believe that we are half way through this?!

Every day I get more and more excited about you!!

Ok wait! I still have to quickly explain the day we found out your sex!

Originally I was supposed to have my OB apt on Thursday the 15th, but Derek would have to work and so he wouldn't be able to go with. Plus, since he was going to be at work I was having an issue getting a ride to the apt. Thankfully I was able to last minute reschedule for Tuesday the 13th!

The appointment went fast and I was quickly schedule to go to the 300 building to get a blood draw for some routine tests. While at the 300 building I was able to schedule my ultrasound appointment for the following day!!

Thankfully I was able to leave work early to go to the appointment and Derek was able to make it as well!!

When we arrived the wait was too long! Okay, it was honestly no more than 10 minutes, but it felt like forever!

After being brought into the room the ultrasound tech had to take all these pictures and measurements for the doctor. So I patiently waited for 15 minutes until she was ready to bring Derek into the room and announce our baby's gender!!

Now lil Nolan, you where showing off your 'manliness' a lot to the ultrasound tech, but when it was time for me and Derek to see you where keeping your legs together! You where super cute! You had your legs bent up by your face with your feet crossed and you where just wiggling your feet and toes!! I could have watched all day!! But we couldn't tell what sex you where!! So the ultrasound tech wiggled you a bit and you finally, slowly moved your legs down and showed us that you where our lil man! My handsome boy!

Oh there was a point where the ultrasound tech was trying to find you and you jutted out your foot boom! Against my stomach! It was too cute! All we saw was your lil foot! Then there was a point where you were like playing peek-a-boo. You kept raising your head up and then pulling it back down. So your face kept coming in and out of view! Both this ultrasound and the last one you occasionally would bend your right arm up by your head like you where just relaxing! It's funny because that is how Derek sleeps at night!

You move a ton lil Nolan! The ultrasound tech kept saying that over and over to me! 'Wow your baby is really active' she said you where probably one of the most active babies she's seen!

You weren't just showing off or the camera either! You move so much all the time, but especially in the evenings! A couple of nights ago I couldn't fall asleep because you where moving so much! I am not complaining though because feeling you move is the greatest sensation ever!! Seriously you where wiggling for almost 30 minutes!! I just laid there smiling enjoying your movement! Oh! You are moving right now! I feel you right in the middle of my stomach just below my bellybutton! :)

Nolan, be prepared for lots of kisses and cuddles from me, your daddy, and all of our family and friends! We are all so excited for your arrival, but take your time. Grow big and strong inside of me and when you are ready you come out. We will be counting down the days until you enter this world!

Ultrasound

Today we had an ultrasound!! I was thankfully able to leave work early to go to the ultrasound appointment and even more thankful that Derek was able to go! We arrived a bit early and the wait felt like forever! Then the nurse called me back and she had to do a lot of pictures for the doctor! Honestly I was waiting, starring at the ceiling for 15-20 minutes!! Finally, she said she was almost done and that she could indeed tell what the baby's sex was!!

She brought Derek into the room and turned on the monitor. You where moving a lot! Also you had your feet all the way up by your head!! She struggled to gets your legs uncrossed but eventually you decided to be nice and let us see! As many know now, you are a boy! Our beautiful Nolan!! :)

We got a few print off pictures and a CD with pictures and videos on it!!! I could have watched you all day! Your little feet are too cute!! Well all of you is cute to me!! :) you will receive so much love little Nolan!!

Last Night and This Morning

I am feeling very groggy today. Last night I had to stay up to pick up your Auntie Dani from the train station. I volunteered to do so because I am the only one that doesn't have to get up early and go to work today. I don't get to bed until midnight.

Derek had to get up at 6am and I go up with him to make sure he got out the door on time and didn't forget anything. Then I was feeling hungry so I ate a light snack and went back to bed around 7am. Derek text me at 9:45 because he was on break. The text woke me up which wasn't a big deal because my alarm was going to go off at 10am anyways.

I do feel sick today though, which seems to always happen when I have a lot to do.

You, lil baby, decided last night (when I was getting ready for bed) to wedge firmly on my right side. If I touched both sides I could feel a little bulge on the right side. It was you!! You're trying to do so again right now! You always kick or head-butt my right ovary when you do so!

Feeling your movement is the greatest thing ever!!

Moments to Remember

Lil baby you are growing so well! I'm getting bigger and bigger! I have had to buy new clothes and everything makes me tired!

My allergies have been acting up a lot and currently I have a pretty bad sinus headache. Oh and did I mention I am tired? :)

You have been moving around a lot lately. It's funny because you don't like if my waste band of my pants is pressing on my tummy. Even the light press from the seam in my yoga pants bothers you! So you will kick a lot along the seam line! Your daddy thinks that this is funny! He also finds it funny that sometimes if he touches the same spot over and over you will start kicking!

I have started having issues sleeping through the night. I am trying my best to not sleep on my back because it could constrict blood vessels. My nights are now a struggle to get (you just kicked me right in the middle an inch below my belly button) comfy and then I sleep pretty okay until the last couple of hours. Then my hips start hurting so I end up flipping back and forth between my two sides.

My cravings have be a lot more and change very frequently. Honestly, most of the time I will crave something but if I don't get it in about 30 minutes the craving will go away!

In about 2 weeks we get to find out whether you are a girl or boy! I think it's funny because you know what sex you are but we don't know yet! This is one of Gods ultimate test of patience!
